David "Dave" Allen Hanson 74 of Albert Lea, MN. passed peacefully at his home on March 10, 2025 surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with Lewy Body dementia. Dave was born December 30th 1950 in Cresco, Iowa. He was the son of Bert and Ila (Hendrickson) Hanson. Dave grew up in LeRoy graduating from high school in 1968. On May 5, 1971 he was united in marriage to Kathi Bartel. Their sons Greg and Ryan are their pride and joy. Dave's work career was almost exclusively with Hanson Tire. Working in LeRoy, Albert Lea and Preston Minnesota. He had a strong work ethic and took lengths to take care of the customer. Dave had a love of sports. After moving to Albert Lea his love of hockey started following both Greg and Ryan to every game possible. Baseball was also of great fun and pride for Dave. His love of sports carried on as his Grandchildren started playing; that was a special joy and again he attended as many events as possible. Dave was a wonderful committed son, husband, father, grandfather and will be dearly missed.
