Cresco relatives received a message, yesterday morning that Joe Haubrick had passed away on Wednesday evening at his home in Milwaukee. Mr. Haubrick has been a resident in and around Cresco for years and has many friends who will sympathize with the bereaved family.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows the spelling as Haubrich. He was born May 1, 1864 and died Dec. 10, 1919. He is buried in Calvary Cresco Cemetery.

OBITUARY.

HAUBRICH.

Joseph R. Haubrich was born in Germany, May 1, 1864, and at the age of 6 years came to America with his parents. For four years they lived in Rhode Island and New York and then moved to Iowa.

Sept. 22, 1891, he was united in marriage to Mary A. Rink at Cresco, Iowa. To this union was born 8 children, 3 0f whom died in infancy. He leaves to mourn his death, his wife and 5 children: Mrs. Gertrude Mundell, of Chatfield, Minn., Mary C.., Paul M., Henry Z. and Frederick J. Haubrich. He also leaves 2 brothers and 3 sisters: Peter Haubrich, of Chicago, John Haubrich, of Carroll, Ia., Mrs. Theo Smith, of Fort Atkinson, Iowa, Mrs. Wm. Steffes, of Plevna, Mont., and Mrs. Henry Rink, of Austin, Minn., all of whom were present at the funeral except his two brothers.

The deceased had been in poor health for several years, and about a month ago he with his family moved to Milwaukee, Wis., where he was taken sick with pneumonia and died at his new home, 752 32nd St., Wednesday, Dec. 10th, at 8 p. m.

The body was brought to Cresco, Sunday morning, and the funeral was held Tuesday morning at 9 o’clock from St. Joseph’s church, the Rev. Father Wagener officiating, and the remains were laid at rest at Mount Calvary cemetery.

We take this method of expressing our heartfelt thanks to our relatives and friends who so tenderly assisted us during the illness and burial of the beloved husband and father. We also thank those who favored us with floral offerings.
