Lester Kreuger passed away at Mercy hospital at Cresco, Friday. Funeral will be held Tuesday at two o’clock at the Lutheran church. The family has the sympathy of the entire community.

OBITUARY.
Krueger.
Lesley Richard Krueger, oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Krueger, was born June 7, 1900, in Howard county, Iowa. Soon after his natural birth he was priritually{sic} born in Holy Baptism. His boyhood days he spent at home. Three years ago he was to be instructed in the Word of God and confirmed but sickness and an operation before prevented this. He tried to attend catchetical instruction this winter but on account of his sickness (goitre) he was not able to attend regularly. God’s ways are mysterious and wonderful. He was obliged to enter the hospital the second time on April 29th, 1919.
There was done all that loving hands could do for him. His operation took place May 15, 1919, and he passed peacefully away May 16, 1919, at the age of 18 years, 11 months and 9 days.
Let us hope he died in the Lord.
He leaves to mourn a grief-stricken father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Krueger, two sisters and one brother, one grandmother, nine uncles, seven aunts and thirty cousins, and a host of friends. The large attendance was a testimonial to the respect he commanded.

We sorrow but not as those who have no hope.
A precious one from us is gone
A voice we loved is still
A place is vacant in our home
Which never can be filled.
