Mrs. Byron Smith passed away at the Mercy hospital at Cresco Thursday a. m. Funeral was held from the M. E. church at Granger, Saturday, with a very large attendance. The family and relatives have the sympathy of the entire community

OBITUARY.
SMITH.
Edna Arabelle, daughter of James and Adella Berning was born in Bristol township, Fillmore Co., Minn., Moy{sic} 28th, 1876. Died April 24th, 1919. She united in marriage with Byron V. Smith, Nov. 27th, 1912, and leaves a husband and four little children, the youngest, being only two weeks old; also a father and mother, three brothers and many other relatives and friends to mourn their loss which is her gain. Funeral service was held in the Granger M. E. church, Rev. Lawrence E. Grabau, officiating. Interment was made in the Bristol Center cemetery.

I cannot think of them as dead,
Who walk with me no more;
Along the path of life I tread,
They have but gone before.

Their lives are made forever mine,
What they to me have been,
Hath left henceforth its seal and sign
Engraven deep within.

Mine are they by an ownership,
Nor time nor death can free,
For God hath given to love to keep,
It’s own eternally.
