Mr. and Mrs. J. Timmerman went to Lime Springs, Monday, to attend the funeral of Mrs. Theo. Hauck.

Hauck.
Frieda Huebner was born at Sernberg, Germany, Dec. 26, 1860. She was united in marriage with Theo. Hauck Aug. 21, 1881, and to this union seven children were born, three boys and four girls.
In 1884 Mr. and Mrs. Hauck came to this country, settling in Clayton county where they resided till about 17 years ago when they moved to Howard county where they have made their home since.
A few months ago Mrs. Hauck’s health began to fail, and although the best medical skill was secured yet every effort to restore her to health proved unsuccessful, and on March 27, 1919, at 1:10 a. m., she passed away at Rochester, Minn., where she had gone for medical assistance.
There are left to mourn this loving wife and mother, her husband Theo. Hauck, two sons and two daughters, Hugo H. Hauck of Buffalo, Mont., Mrs. Will Hughes, Lime Springs, Mrs. W. Guy Benson, Minneapolis, Harry Hauck of Lime Springs, also one brother Charles Huebner of Postville, Iowa.
Memorial services were held Monday afternoon, March 31, at the family residence and at the M. E. church, Lime Springs, at 2:30 p. m. in charge of Rev. G. M. Shoemaker.
Appropriate hymns were sung by a quartet composed of Mrs. Cray, Mrs. Davis, Mr. Vanderbie and Mrs. Tom Davies.
A large number of friends and neighbors attended the funeral to pay their tribute of respect to the memory of Mrs. Hauck.
Among those who attended from a distance were John Mueller of Postville, a cousin of Mr. Hauck, and William Brown of Cresco. The body was laid to rest in Pleasant Hill cemetery Lime Springs.
