Miss Lauraine Mead received a telegram from Kamiah, Idaho, yesterday, announcing the death of her niece, Mrs. Genevieve Dissmore Metcalf, and also her husband, both having been stricken with influenza. There are no particulars, but as Mr. and Mrs. Metcalf had intended leaving their home at Lakota, N. D., for the West, it is assumed that they were stricken soon after their arrival at Kamiah where the disease was raging.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows this was Carl. He was born Nov. 10, 1884 and died Dec. 18, 1918. He is buried in the Kamiah Cemetery in Kamiah, ID.
