MARRIED.
Arens—Steffens
A pretty wedding took place at the St. Joseph’s church at nine o’clock Tuesday Nov. 25th, by Rev. Father J. P. Wagener when Miss Katherine Arens, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Arens, of Riceville, was united in marriage to Jacob Steffens, the elder ton{sic} of Mr. and Mrs. Adam Steffen, of Cresco. The bride wore a white satin dress trimmed with braid and pearl beads, a veil crowned with a wreath of white orange blossoms, and carried a bouquet of white chrysanthemums. The groom wore a tailored suit of dark blue. The bride was attended by her two sisters, Mary and Rose Arens, while Roy Oberfaul and George Streif, both cousins of the groom, acted as best men. After the ceremony, the bridal party autoed to the groom’s home where a three-course dinner was served for the nearest relatives. The happy couple were made the recipients of many valuable presents. They will commence housekeeping at once on a farm near Cresco. Their relatives unite with their many friends in wishing them a very happy and prosperous wedded life.
