BATRUD-BADEAUX
A quiet but very pretty wedding occurred Wednesday evening, May 7th at the home of Mrs. Betsy T. Bratrud, when her daughter, Alma was married to Dr. George Irving Badeaux of Ironton, Minn. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Roscoe Sires in the presence of the immediate relatives and friends. Miss Emma Rose of Spring Valley sang beautifully before the ceremony “At Dawning,” and “I Love You Truly,” and then Miss Olga Renn at the piano and Miss Luella Benn on the violin, played Lohengrin “Bridal Chorus” and Mendelssohn “Wedding March’ while the bridal party marched to their places in the beautifully decorated room.

After the ceremony a delicious four-course dinner was served by the Misses Bessie Davis, Laura Thomas and Gail Grube.
The bride wore a gown of white silk georgette daintily beaded, over while silk. She wore a beautiful bridal veil and carried a bouquet of white roses and lilies of the valley.
The bride was attended by Miss Ione Thorson and Miss Grace Halver. Miss Thorson wore a gown of gray silk tulle over pink silver tone satin and carried a bouquet of pink roses, and Miss Halver wore a gown of pink silk georgette beaded over pink crepe de chine and carried a bouquet of pink roses. The bride’s mother wore a dainty gown of gray silk and the groom’s sister, Mrs. John Thabes, of Brainard, Minn., wore a gown of pale blue georgette embroideriedsic} net over pale blue charmeuse. The groom and his attendants, Mr. Bean and Harrison Davis were dressed in full evening attire.
The bride is one of our charming young ladies, who has grown to womanhood in our midst. The groom is a graduate of the University of Minnesota.
We unite in extending hearty congratulations. They will be at home in Ironton, Minn., after July 1st.
