Silver Wedding Anniversary.
On the evening of March 19th last I was attending to the usual chores about the barn when teams began to arrive in my yard. It was such an unusual event that it attracted my special attention. The folks began to get out of their rigs and came over to me and shook me by the hand and patted me on the back, while I was trying to discover what it was all about. All at once it dawned on me that on this day twenty-five years ago I was married aad{sic} we had to surrender ourselves and our home to our welcome but unbidden guests. My wife and myself want to take this occasion to express to our many friends our deep appreciation for their valuable gifts and for their thoughtfulness. It will be one of the many pleasant things we will have to think about in our declining years and we hope that sometime, somdwhere{sic} each of you may have the happy experience of a like occasion.
