Prominent Jewell Citizen Died At Hospital At Des Moines Yesterday Morning

H. Ferbitz died at about seven o'clock yesterday morning, Feb. 9th, at Mercy hospital at Des Moines. He had been operated upon a few days before for an ailment from which he has suffered for some time. At first he was thought to be on the way to recovery, but on Saturday began to sink. At the bedside when death came were his wife, his daughters, Mrs. Gilbert Knudson and Mrs. John Larson, his son, Frank Ferbitz, and John Larson. Word had been sent Mrs. B. F. Knudson at her home in Spokane, Wash. and she arrived last night.

The body was brought to Jewell last night for burial. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon of this week from Bethesda Norwegian Lutheran church, of which the deceased man was a faithful member. The services will be conducted by the pastor, Rev. Eastvold, at 1:30 o'clock and the body will be laid at rest in Evergreen cemetery.
