Died: William Desmond, son of D. Desmond, a promising young man 21 years of age, died at the home of his parents last Thursday morning of lung fever. The funeral will take place tomorrow at 8 o'clock a.m. at the Catholic church. His illness was brief. From the vigor of youth and health, in one short week he passed into the shadow of death. He was born in Cedarburg county, Wisconsin and lived with his parents on the farm just north of Ackley. He had made preparations to enter the high school taught by Prof. Graver, commencing on Monday of this week. Again the scriptural adage has been verified that "In the midst of life we are in death."
