Titus Wray lived in Floyd county Iowa and is buried at Rock Grove Cemetery, east of Nora Springs. He died at the age of 63 on October 6, 1871. He was the son of Benjamin A. Wray, who was born on August 3, 1778 in Franklin County, Virginia. Benjamin died on November 25, 1852 and is buried in Cabell County, West Virginia.

Titus had two wives. The first was Rebecca Paxton, who was born in or about September of 1809. She died on April 19, 1859 and is buried at Rock Grove. Her tombstone says her age was 49 years and seven months.

To months after Rebecca's death, Titus married a woman by the name of Catherine Cassady, who was born in 1835 in Henry county, Indiana. At the time of their marriage Titus was 48 years old, and Catherine was only 24.

Titus and Catharine were parents of five children, born in the Rock Grove City area: Nancy J. Wray b: 1860, Emma S. Wray b: 1862, Benjamin S. Wray, Pauline Angeline Wray b: 1868, and Elizabeth Rose Ann Wray b: 1869.

Two months following the death of Titus Wray, a Mr. Wilburforce P. Gaylord was given Guardianship over all five of the children. At the time of his death, Titus had assets of over $11,000.

Catharine died on January 25, 1890, and is buried in Rock Grove cemetery, next to Titus and Rebecca Wray.
