Kiron, Oct 25-(Special to the Review) The large barn of the Peter Buller farm five miles northeast of Kiron burned to the ground Saturday morning. Its contents consisted of a large amount of hay and other feed.

How the fir originated is a mystery. About three o’clock in the morning, the dog by his loud barking, awakened the boys, who were sleeping in a tent near the house, who in going out discovered the fire, flames bursting out through the roof from a corner, where none of the family had been for weeks. By rapid work the horses and some calves were barely removed from the burning building before the entire structure collapsed to the ground in a mass of flames and smoke. While the building was insured by the Kiron Mutual Company and will be reimbursed for the same amount of the insurance, the loss will still amount to several hundred dollars. The telephone was used calling for assistance and in a short while a number of neighbors gathered to aid in preventing the nearby building getting afire. How the fire got started remains an unsolved mystery up to the present time. Had the boys not been awakened by the barking and come to the rescue of the horses they would also have been consumed by the flames.
