Funeral services for Rodger Soenksen, 40, DeWitt, who was killed in a one vehicle accident on Interstate 80 in Cedar county, were held Oct 1, 1988 at Grace Lutheran church in DeWitt, with burial in the Elmwood cemetery.

Mr. Soenksen died Sept. 28 in a truck accident near the West Liberty interchange on I-80.

He was a self-employed food distributor for P and M Quality Foods, Kewanee, Ill. He was a member of the church and the Illinois Chamber of Commerce in Kewanee.

Mr. Soenksen attended Clinton Community college and enjoyed sports.

He is survived by a daughter, Lisa, at home; his parents, Harold and Geraldine Soenksen, DeWitt and a sister, Mrs. Henry "Hank" (Susan) Vanderzyden, Byron, Ill.
