Samuel A. Feay
Representative from Lyon county, was born in Point Marion, Fayette county, Pennsylvania, January 7, 1852, of German-Scotch parentage.
Removed to Clayton county, Iowa, with his parents in 1856 and received his education in the district schools on Pleasant Ridge, excepting one term at the Upper Iowa University at Fayette, Iowa.
Was married to Sarah F. Gray at Monona, Iowa, February 13, 1879, and moved to Lyon county, Iowa, February 21 of the same year. He has two sons, Virgil C. and George W.
He followed farming until 1892, when he was elected Auditor of Lyon county. Since going out of the auditor's office he has followed the hardware business in Rock Rapids. Elected Representative in 1906. A Democrat in politics.
