Services in memory of Hans Dwinger were held Tuesday, May 2, 2000 at 10:30 a.m. at Hope Lutheran Church in Everly, Iowa. Pastor G. Duane Baun officiated
Casket Bears were Jim MIncer, Steve Mincer, Kevin Mincer, Jeff Mincer, Shane Keefer and Bob Becker
Interment was in Lone Tree Cemetery of Everly
Warner Funeral Home of Hartley was in charge of the arrangements
Hans Dwinger, the son of Martin and Anna (Biehl) Dwinger was born January 19, 1905 in Schmalfeld, Germany. His childhood years were spent in Germany, where he received his education. Hollowing his schooling, her served his apprenticeship at a nursery in Germany for three years
Hans came to the United States in February of 1926 to help farm with his uncle, John Biehl of Lake Park, Iowa.
On March 20, 1931, he was united in marriage to Lillian Meehlhause of Hartley in Spencer, Iowa. Following their marriage, they moved to Everly in 1934, where he farmed for various farmers in the Everly area. He retired in 1971 and moved into town of Everly. For several years, Hans moved the lawn and scooped snow for Hope Lutheran Church in Everly. He also loved to garden and was proud of his beautiful garden located at this residence
Mr. Swinger passed away at the Spencer Municipal Hospital in Spencer, Iowa on Saturday, April 29, 2000 at the age of 95.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian; his parents; five brothers and sisters of Germany; two great grandsons and one son in law
He is survived by two daughters; Ann Mincer and her husband Roger of Milford, Iowa; and Hope Wilken of Everly, Iowa; eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; five step great grandchildren; two step great great grandchildren; other relatives and friends
