Funeral services for Ernest Clay Clark of Everly were held May 31, 1958 at Hope Lutheran Church at Everly. Conducting the service was the Pastor, Rev. David Cronrath
Burial was in Lone Tree Cemetery.
Pallbearers; Edgar Kinyon, Raymond Schuknecht, Stanley Meyerdirk, Kenneth Burger, John Droll and Curtis Boylan
The Everly Fire Company were Honorary Pallbearers.
Warner Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
Ernest Clay Clark was born at Ogden, Kansas, September 15, 1909, to Henry and Emma (Hart) Clark.
His marriage to Myrna Koenck took place at Royal on March 22, 1939. One daughter, Emy Lou Clark was born to this union.
She survives as does his wife, two brothers and one sister, Leslie Clark of Everly, Viola Peterson of Everly and Howard Clark.
Mr. Clark was a member of the Brotherhood, Fire Company and Commercial Club. He had been fire chief for a year and took interest in Boy Scout work.
Groups attending the service were Everly Fireman, John Deere Implement dealers of the community, the senior class of Everly High School and the Cub Scouts.
He was owner of the Clark Implement Company at Everly and prior to taking over the implement business in 1943 was employed by R.J. Schoelerman.
