Olin Edward Strubhar, son of Albert and Alta [Wilson] Strubhar was born on Ocotber 16, 1912 in Hopeville, Iowa and passed from this life to be with his Lord, August 15, 2003 at his home at the age of 90.

He was married to Madge Burchett on September 19, 1935, and two children were born to this union.

Olin lived all his life in the Murray area. He was a farmer and a county employee. He was a member of the Murray Church of Christ. Olin was greatly loved and respected by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Madge in 1998; granddaughter, Sarah Smith; brothers, Harold and Merrill Strubhar; sisters-in-law, Dorothy [Strubhar] and Lillian Burchett and Agnes Gaumer, and nephew Roger Gaumer.

He leaves behind his son, Larry Strubhar and wife JoAnn of Marion, Iowa; daugher, Mary Smith and husband Brad of Blanchard, Oklahoma; brothers-in-law, Gale Burchett and Loren Gaumer both of Murray, Iowa; grandaughter, Linda Klein and husband Steve of Marion, Iowa; grandson, Matt Smith and wife Carie of Halletsville, Texas; 3 great grand children, Brandina Marie Klein of Marion, Iowa and Kylie Sarah and Bradley Olin Smith of Halletsville, Texas; nephews, Ronnie Gaumer of Osceola, Randy Gaumer of Murray; nieces, Joan May of Phoenix, AZ, Carolyn Mackey of New Jersey and Judy Gaumer of Des Moines.
