Sad Accident Happens at New Hampton
Tuesday Evening

A special from New Hampton brings the news of a deplorable accident which occurred in that town about 8 o’clock Tuesday evening. It appears that a guy wire became crossed on an electric light wire, and seeing it, the little 5 year old son of Samuel Tates ran up and seized the guy wire and was killed instantly by the current. The child’s hand was burned badly. At first it was thought that the child was not dead, but a physician that was called pronounced life extinct. The sad occurrence was heartily deplored by the people, who hold the parents in the highest regard.
