IOWA FREE LANDS – We have received a copy of a well printed pamphlet entitled the “Free Lands of Iowa, “ containing not only a description of the Sioux City land district, but also a view of the entire state with mention of some of her resources and advantages. It contains a full and accurate description of each county in the Sioux City land district, embracing some sixteen counties in northwestern Iowa, viz: Woodbury, Sioux, Plymouth, Lyon, Osceola, O’Brien, Cherokee, Ida, Sac, Buena Vista, Clay, Dickinson, Emmet, Palo Alto, Pocahontas, and Calhoun. Also reliable information respecting all vacant lands in the above named counties, with full directions for obtaining homesteads and pre-emptions; a general view of Iowa - her resources and advantages; an explanation of our systems of public land surveys; full particulars in regard to describing lands, and the manner of designating and perpetuating lines and boundaries. The information contained in this pamphlet was obtained from the most authentic sources, and from personal observation of the author.

A sectional map of the land district may also be had with the pamphlet.

This pamphlet and map will afford more information to the immigrant in search pf cheap lands in Iowa than he can possibly obtain from any other source. Northwestern Iowa still contains a million and a half acres of government land, subject to pre-emption, or to be taken as homesteads.

The book with map included, will be sent, prepaid, for 75 cents; or sent separately – book, 25 cents; map 50 cents. Address Mills & Company, Des Moines, Iowa
