Funeral services for Katie Miller, 77, Walcott, will be held today, Wednesday, Sept. 2, 1987 at 11 a.m. at Sheets and Son Funeral Home in Tipton, with the Rev. E. C. Wolfe officiating. Betty Trevathan will be the organist and Marcie Miller will be the vocalist. Pallbearers are Steve Dawson, David Dawson, Mark Dawson, Kevin Brown, Jerry Lalla and James Darrell. Honorary bearers are Dale Manning and Howard Moeller. Burial will be in the West Branch cemetery.

Mrs. Miller died Aug. 30 at her daughter's home in Maysville following an extended illness.

The daughter of Chris and Dorthea Hicks Schroeder, she was born Oct. 31, 1909 in New Liberty. She attended Cedar county schools and married B. Russell Miller Oct. 16, 1929 in Anamosa. She was a homemaker and a former resident of the Tipton and Rochester areas.

Mrs. Miller was a former member of the Oak Hill club and the Cedar Street Baptist church in Tipton.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Dorothy) Dawson, Maysville; 2 sons, DeWayne, Atalissa and Delwyn, Granger, Texas; 9 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. John (Martha) Maley, Ogallala, Neb. and a brother, Rudolph, Hood River, Ore. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 4 sisters and 2 brothers.
