Hastings - Rev. Royal HASTINGS was b. 1810 and died 19 Jan 1874 in Carroll Co., IA. Abt. 1839 he married Caroline??? (possibly BROWN). They may have married in the Wayne Co., IN area, where Royal's father, Rev. William Hastings lived briefly. Before moving to Carroll Co. IA, this family lived in Hamilton Co., OH and Licking Co., OH. They had the following children: Electa Caroline b. abt. 1840, William H. b. 1842, Daniel b. 1843, and Royal E. b 1849. Does anyone know Caroline's surname or when she died? Any clues appreciated.
