ELDON OLSONS CELEBRATED 50TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY

A reception honoring Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Olson on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary was held in the Fellowship Room of St. John's Lutheran Church on Feb. 17, 1980. Hosts for the event were the couple's family - The Rev. and Mrs. Kaye Olson, Karen and Karol of Indianapolis, Ind.; Mrs. Judie Marshall and Lori of Fond du Lac, Wisc.; Jeffrey Olson of Fond du Lac; and Kristin Olson of Wausau, Wisc.
Those presiding at the serving table were sisters, granddaughters and nieces of Kathryn and Eldon - Mrs. Harley Thomsen and Mrs. Leslie Johnson of Omaha; Mrs. Sidney Marland of Boone; Mrs. Michael Acker of Kansas City, Mo.; Mrs. Marilyn Janzen of Des Moines; Mrs. Darrel Eccles, Mrs. Janice Larson and Mrs. Rhonda Anderson, all of Boone. The Ruth Circle of St. John's Church, with Shirley Berglund as coordinator, assisted with preparing and serving the refreshments.
Among the many greetings received was a ltetter of congratulations from Evelyn Page Fisher of McLean,Va. (the maid of honor), and a telegram from Earl Anderson of Parker, Colo. (the best man).
Kathryn Stemm and Eldon Olson were married February 23, 1930 at St. John's Church with the late Reverend C. O. Nelson officiating.
