Elizabeth GEMMELL

ELLIS GEMMELL RUNKLE

We have a mystery photo in our family and it is of an Elizabeth GEMMELL as a young child. The photo was taken at Dubuque, IA at the MacKenzie Photography studio. She has light colored long hair and bangs and is holding a daisy. She is standing in a field of grass and wild flowers.
We have no idea who this is, but also have a bible belonging to an Elizabeth GEMMELL and James GEMMELL from Renfrewshire, Scotland.

My gggrandmother, Eliza (surname unknown) ELLIS had a photo taken at this same MacKenzie Photo studio in Dubuque, IA. This studio was active from 1890-1910.

This photo and bible passed down through my family in this way.

Their son, Frank ELLIS b. 1857 m. Libbie RUNKEL
Their daughter: Florence ELLIS m. A.OWEN
Their son: Alfred OWEN
Then on to his children.....

I see in the S.S. records there is an Elizabeth GEMMELL who was b. 27 Apr 1896 d. Feb 1993
She lived in Waterloo, Black Hawk, IA

I'm wondering if this is our Elizabeth GEMMELL?
