The marriage of Miss Fern Faye Fisher and Dwight Lyman Piper, which was solemnized at high noon yesterday at the home of the bride's parents in Dunkerton, was characterized in the simplicity of its setting. The ceremony was read by Rev. F. L. Holden, pastor of the First Baptish church, in the presence of about forty relatives and close friends.

Miss Greta McIntosh sang "At Dawning," "I Love You," by Cadman, as a prelude to the service. Mendelssohn's wedding march was played for the entrance of the bridal party, who advanced to the place before Rev. Holden. The rooms were effectively decorated with green and white. An embankment of palms and ferns formed a setting for the archway of lattice work, arranged with smilax and white roses. A large white bell and two doves were suspended from the lattice work. Huge baskets of roses in pink and white were used in the other rooms and the stairway, down which the bridal party descended, was wound with smilax and pink roses.

The bride's gown was of chantilly lace over georgette. She wore a full length veil, held in place with orange blossoms and carried a shower bouquet of bride's roses and sweet peas.

After the congratulations a four course dinner was served, with Miss Annie Gury of Waterloo, in charge. C. B. Lamb was in charge of the dining room and Misses Elsie Glechner, Harriett Lamb, Mabel Campbell, and Melba Dunkerton served.

Mrs.Piper is a graduate of the Iowa State Teacher's college and was formerly a teacher in Dunkerton. She is the only child of Mr. and Mrs. T. R. Fisher. Mr.Piper is the youngest son of H. W. Piper of Conrad, Iowa, graduated from the Conrad high school and Babcock school of pharmacy at Des Moines. He also served in the U. S. army for eighteen months after enlistment. Mr. and Mrs. Piper will reside at 209 Second avenue South, Oelwein, Iowa, where Mr. Piper is engaged in business with the Pheiffer Drug Company.

The out-of-town guests were J. W. Piper, Miss Gladys Piper, Dr. and Mrs. E. L. Piper, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Bowers, and Miss Viola Bowers, Conrad, Iowa.
