In the Name of God Amen, I Markus Wingert of the town of Barclay in the county of Black Hawk and State of Iowa being of sound mind and memory (blessed be almighty God for the same) do make and publish this my last will and testament.
I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Catherine all of my household furniture and all the rest of my personal property.
I also give and bequeath to my beloved wife Catherine the use of my real estate during her natural life after paying my indebtedness, at the time of my death. If there is not enough personal property to pay my indebtedness at the time of my death, then she may sell so much of my real estate to pay the same. After her decease I give and devise the remainder to my children their heirs respectively to be divided in equal shares between them.
I do nominate and appoint my beloved wife Catherine to be the sole executrix of this my last will and testament.
In testimony where of I here unto set my and seal and publish this to be my last will and testament in presence of these witnesses named below this 30th day of July A.D. 1872
