I found the following information in the Chariton Township-Appanoose County Cemetery Book:

Salem Cemetery (located in Chariton Township on the south side of Highway 142 east of Iconium)
Row 13
COULSON: Lanah-wife of E. Coulson d.Mar.1,1887 age 50y10m23d

I didn't find any listing in the county for Sanford Eaton.

I also found the following for Elkanah Coulson:

New Hope Cemetery-Taylor Township
Row 3
COULSON: Elkanah 1835-1920 Malinda J.1854-1939, Esa 1885, Minnie V. 1891-1948, B.K.1885 25y8m, Mary M. 1899, Daughter 1881, Martha J. 1881 17y4m29d, Sarah C. 1878, Infant 1879, Franklin 1854-1937, Catherine 1852-1929, Edith 1887-1950, Martha E. 1882-1958, John H. (apparently these names are all listed on one stone)
