I am trying to find the family connection to Earl Gaughenbaugh and my gggrandparents J.A.W. Wilson & Harriet (Hattie) Preston. Earl Gaughenbaugh was the Sheriff of Appanoose Co, Centerville for 1923-1930 and died young on July 1935.

On the 1930 census Jeremiah Wilson & his wife Hattie are living in Earl's household and listed as grandparents. I have no idea what the line of lineage is on them. Jeremiah & Harriet (Hattie) Wilson had 9 children. Would love to know which one married a Gaughenbaugh OR could the lineage come thru Earl's wife?? Does anyone the surname of Earl's wife? I cant find anything on this Gaughenbaugh surname on my census searches, I'm sure the spelling errors & indexed errors, are many.
