Here’s Josiah and Victoria Richardson in the 1880 Appanoose Census in which he says his father was born in Maine and his mother in Canada.
https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/MDKG-FMP
And the 1900 census in which he says the same thing:
https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/ML19-MRF
Here’s the marriage of one of their children that gives both his and wife wife’s names:
https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/XJQH-HBQ
Here’s Samuel and Victoria in the 1860 census for Jackson, Iowa
https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/M8L9-1MT
And Samuel and Lenora in the 1850 census, same place:
https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/MZ46-J5C
Which leads me to believe that his World Connect genealogy is correct. See all the notes included:

Then I found this message board entry. See the first reply for additional generations:
http://genforum.genealogy.com/cgi-bin/pageload.cgi?Aurora::richardson::4404.html
I looked up the author of that message response and, while he’s now deceased, he was the co-author of several texts on Maine genealogy and history, which increases his credibility.
Many of those URL's didn't end up as clickable links so you'll have to copy the entire string into your browser to see the pages.
