Arent TerHorst a Dutch Emmigrant

Arent TerHorst born 26 Dec 1819 in Holland married Henrietta Goonhuis in 1845, came to America about 1846. Served in the Mexican War 1847/48 and received Bounty Land in Appanoose County, Iowa. Henrietta died he married Nancy (maiden name unknown) born Penn about 1823. Moved to Johnson Co, MO then to KS where Arent died 1893. Help! Does anyone have a connection or Dutch emmigrants in Iowa?
