Earliest settlers

I'm researching the initial settlement of
what is now Appanoose County, Iowa. From
what I've determined so far, there were a few from the "border-frontier" of what is now
Wheeling, West Virginia. They were descendents
of the Bonnett and Wetzel families.

I'm a FreelanceInvestigative-Research Writer,
and would appreciate somebody pointing me in
the right direction.
