The following item from the Rich Hill, (Mo.) Mining Review, will be of general interest to the friends of Dr. J. B. Rand of this city, it being an account of his marriage on June 3 to Miss Irene Reese.
Dr. James B. Rand and Miss Irene Reese were united in marriage in Kansas City on Sunday, June 3 at 5:30 o'clock by Dr. Monroe, pastor of the First Calvary church.
Dr. Rand is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Rand. He is a bright and ambitious young man and is now a veterinary practicioner at Centerville, Ia.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. M. Reese and is well known here, having attended high school in this city. She is an accomplished
young lady with many friends, having taught school in this city and vicinity for the past four years.
The romance of this young couple started when both were students in the Rich Hill high school, both graduating in the same class. They arrived here Monday afternoon to visit relatives and friends before going onto Centerville, Ia. where they will make their home. They have the best wishes of a host of friends in this vicinity.
