Among the Christmas day ceremonies was that of Mrs. Belva L. Cox and Frank E. Wenig both of this city. The marriage took place at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. P. W. Hedgecock, 716 Fourth street southwest, Sunday at 12 o'clock. The Rev. C. H. Van Metre of Garner, state chaplain of the American Legion read the service in the presence of 20 relatives and intimate friends.
Mrs. Weing has been employed for the past five years by the Champlin Refining company. Mr. Weing is a locomotive engineer and is a former
professional ball player. He is a past state vice commander of the American Legion, and is a former commander of the Spencer post.
The bride wore a frock of cocoa brown satin, lace trimmed, and her slippers and hose were of the same shade. Her corsage was of ten roses.
She and Mr. Wenig were attended by Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Wenig of Charles City, cousins. Mrs. Wenig also wore a frock of cocoa brown satin with accessories to match.
The couple left Sunday evening for a three months western trip. They went to Inwood to visit Mr. Wenig's parents, and from there they will go to Sioux City to visit a brother, Obe
Wenig, and then on to Ca. stopping at Kansas City, Salt Lake City, Los Angeles and the Catalina Islands.—Mason City News.
Mrs. Wenig will be remembered as Miss Belva Hedgecock, a former Moulton girl.
