DIED - Only about two months ago we chronicled the death of Mr. James Logan, of New Albin, and now it is our sad duty to announce that his aged consort has, in the regular order of nature, and by the willing of Diving Providence, followed him to the grave.
Mrs. Logan died last Saturday night, at her home in New Albin, of erysipelas, after a brief illness, and was interred on Monday. She was 72 years of age

--- --- ---
On last Sunday morning, at her residence in this village, Mrs. Jane Logan, widow of the late Jas. Logan, departed this life. Mrs. Logan was 72 years old, and since her husband's death a few weeks ago, had been rapidly failing.
Borne down by the burden of many years she thus speedily follows him to that bourne from which no traveler returns.
Mrs. Logan was kindly cared for during her last illness by her daughter, Mrs. John Mobley, of Lansing, and many friends.
The funeral, which occurred on Monday, at 10 A.M., Dr. Ambler officiating, was largely attended.

Note: Burial is in the New Albin cemetery. The DOD given in 'Woodmansee' (5/3/1878) is incorrect. The obits indicate her death would have occurred April 27 or April 28th, depending on whether she died on the previous Sat or Sun.
