John Henrich [?sic Heinrich] Gebers was born Jan. 6, 1851 at Schwalingen, Province of Hanover, Germany, and died at his home in northeast Adair Tuesday, Dec. 28. He came to the United States in 1868, locating in Audubon County. May 21, 1877 he was married to Catherine Wedemeyer from Sprengel, Germany. The surviving children are Herman Gebers of Clarkfield, Minn., Mrs. Anna Vokt, Mrs. Lena Mueller, Mrs. Maggie Mueller, and Henry Gebers of Adair, Mrs. Minnie Neimmier of Holstein and Mrs. Mary Dean of Huron, S.D.

NOTE: John Henry & wife Catherine are buried in just north of Adair in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Grant Twp., Guthrie County, Iowa.
