Fontanelle

Jean Darrow, 90 of Fontanelle died April 8, 2006, at her home.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 12, at Steen Funeral Home, 525 Maple St., Fontanelle. Order of Eastern Star services will be conducted by O.E.S. Chapter 91 of Greenfield. The Rev. Jerry Hoff and the Rev. Wendell Zimmerman will officiate the service. Burial will be in Fontanelle Cemetery. Visitation will be noon to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home in Fontanelle.

A memorial has been established in her name.

Mrs. Darrow, daughter of Emma (Kennedy) and Horace Courtney Acker, was born Dec. 15, 1915, in Chickley, Neb. On May 18, 1926, she married Deane Arthur Darrow in Adel. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include three children, Sharon (husband Mert [Merl]) Linthicum of Greenfield, Mary (wife Dean) Carson of Creston and Susan Thompson of Leon; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
