First Week of Practice
Coaches Ruff and Edmund are putting the Greenfield High School basketball team through their first week of practice.

Get Big Coon
Carl Johnson and Arnold Ruth accompanied by their dogs, Prince and Joe, were hunting Tuesday night on Bear Creek and succeeded in capturing a coon that weighed forty-two pounds.

Thieves Kill Hog at Holcomb Farm
Thieves took a 250 lb. hog from the Fred Holcomb farm, east of the cemetery Monday night of last week after they had butchered the animals in the hog lot. A pool of blood first attracted Mr. Holcomb's attention and a trail of blood to be traced to the fence where the carcas (sic) had been lifted into an awaiting automobile. Sheriff M. L. Lydon is investigating the case.
