Harry C. White
Senator from the Forty-fifth district, comprising the counties of Benton and Tama, was born in Guernsey county, Ohio, October 6, 1869, of Irish parents. When he was six months old his parents moved to Benton county and settled on a farm near Garrison. Educated in the district schools, Tilford Academy and was a student for one term at Cornell college, at Mount Vernon. Taught school for several terms. Now owns and operates a large stock farm. Has been vice president of the Farmers' Savings Bank of Garrison since it was organized in 1905. Was married in 1894. Elected representative in 1910. Re-elected in 1912. Elected senator in 1914, re-elected in 1918. A democrat in politics.
