I, Catherine HAAS, aged 72 years being of sound mind and disposing memory, do hereby make, publish and declare this to be my last will and testament, hereby revoking all prior will and testaments at any time heretofore made by me.

First: It is my will that all of my just debts and funeral expenses be first paid out of my estate.

Second: I give and devise and bequeath to my daughters Henrietta SCHOBERT of Lansing, Iowa, Johanna TROENDLE, Lena SCHOBERT of Chicago, Illinois, Christina ZABOLITZKY and Mary TEELING, my house and all of my furniture and fixtures, useful and ornamental, including beds, bedding, wearing apparel, provisions, stores and supplies including stoves and all wares, pictures and frames and all bric-a-brac owned by me and in my said dwelling and premises in the city of Lansing, Iowa, over and in addition to the share I hereunto bequeath to them; to have and to hold to them and their heirs and assigns share and share alike. It is my will and I here by direct my Executrix hereinafter named to pay out of my personal property, moneys and credits. I mean such sum or sums or as it is reasonably worth for such service or care as she or any of my daughters may give me during my life hereinafter for compensation and kindness shown me during any sickness or illness I may hereafter have; but not to include anything heretofore performed by them or either of any of them as I have heretofore made settlement in full with them for this kindness to me.

Third: I hereby direct my executrix hereinafter named to expend one hundred dollars or masses for the happy repose of the soul of my deceased husband and myself and direct that the same be read by the Priest in charge of the Lansing Catholic congregation within two years after my death.

Fourth: All the rest residue and remainder of my estate real, personal, and mixed of which I may die seized and possessed and wherever located situated or found, I give devise and bequeath to my children Henrietta SCHOBERT of Lansing, Iowa, John HAAS, Daniel HAAS, Johanna TROENDLE, Lena SCHOBERT of Chicago, Illinois, Benjamin HAAS, Christina ZABOLITZKY, Mary TEELING, and Ferdinand HAAS to have and to hold to them and their heirs and assigns absolutely and forever, share and share alike.

Fifth: I hereby constitute and appoint my daughter Henrietta SCHOBERT executrix of this my last will and hereby exonerate her from giving bonds as such executrix.
