Ellen married John D. Hageman. They have one child, Megan R.. John and Ellen later divorced. Wendlandt, Calvin and Lois (Iverson)(Lois Iverson) Calvin Raymond Wendlandt was born in New Ulm, Brown Co., MN to Raymond and Lena (Riebe) Wendlandt. His siblings are: Elvera (m. Orville Trettin), Noreen (m. Dennis Curry) and Michael Wendlandt. Lois Martha Iverson was born in Decorah, IA to Leonard and Anna (Rohm) Iverson. After graduation from Decorah High School in 1966 Lois moved to Minneapolis to attend Medical Institute of Minnesota. One Saturday night she met Calvin “Cal” on a blind date. After graduation as a medical technician she worked at the Edina Clinic for a few months before moving to Hutchinson, MN and marrying Cal. Within a year they bought a trailer house in Hopkins, MN and lived there for a couple of years. Lois worked for Honeywell's Solid State Electronics Center and Cal did mechanical drafting for several different companies. In 1971 they placed a manufactured house in two sections outside of Rockford, MN, Their second son is Jason. In 1975 Cal and Lois sold their home and moved to Maple Grove, MN. In 1977 they had the opportunity to buy a farm outside of Hutchinson and start raising pigs. Of course it was the worst time to try this out and in 1982 they let the farm go and moved to Litchfield, MN. In 1985 they moved south of Cokato, MN and began working in Minneapolis again. Lois began working at SciMed Life Systems, Inc. and Cal worked for various companies doing drafting work. Jason, Lois, Calvin and Eric Wendlandt. Lois and Cal have 2 sons: Eric Raymond born in Hutchinson, McCloud Co., MN, married Darla Harff of Silver Lake, MN 14 Aug 1994 at Darwin, MN; and Jason Lee born in Buffalo, Wright Co., MN, married Rebecca Forsberg of Dassel, MN 9 Dec 1995 in Hutchinson. After Eric’s graduation from high school in 1987 the family moved to their present home on Collinwood Lake southeast of Dassel. The house is being remodeled. They have a trailer home north of Baudette, MN where they escape to and go fishing. Eric built a home about a half mile down the road and Jason plans to build a home next year about five miles north of Dassel on another lake. Howard Wendling was born 3 May 1911 in Winneshiek Co. to John and Emma (Pfister) Wendling. John came to America in 1892 from Alsace, France and married Emma Pfister. Emma’s father Phillip Pfister was also from Alsace. Emma and John Wendling had 4 children: Helen (m. Amundson); Howard, Marion (m. Erickson) and Edna (m. Grindeland). In 1854 Phillip Pfister, Sr. was one of the founders of the St. Johns Lutheran Church at Locust. John and Emma are buried in the Locust Cemetery. Howard and Lucille Anderson were married in 1948 at St. John’s Parsonage by Rev. Carl Losen. Lucille was born 30 Dec 1916 in Winneshiek Co. to Ole and Belle (Usgaard) Anderson. Ole was the son of Andrew and Toni (Clausen) Anderson. Andrew and Toni are buried in the Salveson Cemetery south of Hesper. Belle was the daughter of Peder and Julia (Severson) Usgaard. Peder and Julia are buried in Phelps Cemetery, Decorah. Ole and Belle Anderson are buried in the Locust Cemetery. Ole and Belle’s children are: Lucille; Palmer married June Barth; and Richard married Elaine Groth. Howard and Lucille purchased their farm in Highland Twp. from Howard’s father in 1948. Their grandchildren are the fifth generation to live on the farm. Howard and Lucille had 2 children: Howard Jon married MaryTangen; and Lucille Jeanett married Tom Hanson. Howard and Lucille have 4 grandchildren. Howard farmed all his life. He died 9 Oct 1995 and is buried in the Locust Cemetery. Lucille’s interest is keeping numerous scrap books and crocheting.
