Rake, Ia. - William Jurgens has left for army service. He was drafted. Mr. Jurgens had been employed as a mechanic for the Jensvold Implement company here.

William Jurgens is Buffalo Center's First War Casualty

Buffalo Center, Ia. - Mrs. Jeanette Jurgens received word Friday of the death of her son, William Jurgens, who was killed in action in Africa April 27. This is the first war casualty from this vicinity.

The casketed remains of Technician Grade 4 William E. Jurgens, a World War II deceased member of the Army from Buffalo Center being returned from overseas for final burial will arrive in Buffalo Center within the next month accompanied by a uniformed Army escort from the Chicago Distribution Center of the American Graves Registration Division.
