Pvt. Earl G. Hestness
Pfc. Hestness received serious facial wounds, a broken jaw and nose, and also arm and leg wounds from shrapnel, while fighting in France, Oct. 20, 1944. He had been overseas 9 months. He was returned to this country Dec. 14, and is hospitalized at El Paso, Texas. His parents are Mr. and Mrs. A.R. Hestness.

Thompson - Word has been received here that Earl Hestness of Lake Mills, former resident of Thompson, recently underwent major surgery at the Veterans hospital at Des Moines. He was wounded in both legs during World War II.
