Martha J. Peterson, 96, Thompkins Health Care Center, died Monday at the
Center.
Services will be 3:00 p.m. Thursday at the Bruce Funeral Home with the Rev.
Trevor Davis-Hajek officiating. Burial will be in the North Lawn Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 4:00 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Survivors include her daughters, Lillian Nekvinda, Fort Dodge, IA., and
Shirley Parrott, Henderson, NV.; 22 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren, 9
great-great-grandchildren.
Martha Svaleson was born in Fort Dodge and educated in the Fort Dodge school
system. She moved to Gaylord, MN. for seven years and spent the remainder of
her life in Fort Dodge, IA. She married Con Peterson in 1909 in Fort Dodge
where the couple made their home. She was employed by the Lutheran Hospital,
Fort Dodge. Her husband died in 1966.
She was a member of the Riverside United Methodist Church.
Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
