James Faiferlick, Fort Dodge real estate agent, died of a heart attack early
today at his home 501 North Ninth Street.
Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. T. J. Davern Tuesday, 8:30
a.m. at the residence and 9:00 a.m. at Corpus Christi Church. Burial will be
in Corpus Christi Cemetery.
Mr. Faiferlick is survived by his widow, one daughter, Margaret, and the
following brothers and sisters, Mrs. Matt Bunda, Matt Faiferlick, Mrs. Anna
Edvenson, Mrs. Eva Novak, and Mrs. Frank Hartnett, all of Fort Dodge.
The body will be at Laufersweiler's until Sunday when it will be taken to the
residence.

JAMES FAIFERLICK
Funeral services for James Faiferlick, 60, were held Tuesday morning at 8:30
at the Faiferlick residence, 501 North Ninth Street, and at 9:00 at Corpus
Christi Church, the church was filled to capacity by the many friends and
relatives who attended the rites. The Rt. Rev. T. J. Davern, pastor of Corpus
Christi Church, was the celebrant at the requiem high mass.
In charge of arranging the many beautiful flowers were Mr. and Mrs. James
Harty, Mrs. Henry F. Steiner and Mrs. Mary B. Savage.
Pallbearers were James Blaunt, Edward Cahill, Henry Steiner, William Ricke,
William Flattery and Frank Kolf. Burial was in Corpus Christi cemetery where
the Rev. Robert Joynt officiated. The Laufersweiler Funeral Home was in
charge of arrangements.
The Plaunt Paint Company store closed during the services so employees could
attend.

Those who attended the services from out of town included a sister of Mrs.
Faiferlick, Mrs. Clayton Meyers of Colorado Springs, Colo., and a nephew and
niece of Mr. Faiferlick, James Haley and Mrs. James Brady, both of Dixon, Ill.
Mr. Faiferlick, a resident of Fort Dodge for 24 years, died early saturday
morning at his home of a heart attack. He was born September 16, 1882, in
Colfax Township. He attended the schools of the township as well as in Fort
Dodge.
He was married Feb. 2, 1905, to Miss Katherine Cregan at Sacred Heart Church
here. The ceremony was performed by Bishop Edmund Heelan of Sioux City, who
at the time was pastor of Sacred Heart Church. Mr. and Mrs. Faiferlick made
their home on a farm in Colfax Township until 1918 when Mr. Faiferlick
retired from active farming and they moved to Fort Dodge. Mr. Faiferlick was
in the real estate business here for a number of years.
Survivors
He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Miss Margaret Faiferlick; a brother,
Matthew Faiferlick, and four sisters, Mrs. Matthew Bunda, Mrs. Annie
Edvenson, Mrs. Eva Novak and Mrs. Frank Hartnett, all living in Fort Dodge.
His parents were the late pioneer settlers, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Faiferlick. He
was also preceded in death by two sisters and a brother.
