Bohumir F. Novak, 76, Park Manor Care Center, died there Monday evening
following a lengthy illness. Services will be at 8:30 a.m. Thursday in the
chapel of Laufersweiler Funeral Home and at 9 a.m. at Corpus Christi Church.
The Rev. Msgr. Louis Lynch, pastor, will officiate at the Mass of the
Resurrection, and burial will be in Corpus Christi Cemetery. Military
graveside rites will be conducted by the American Legion and World War 1
veterans. Rosary services will be 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, where
friends may call after 3 p.m. Wednesday.
Surviving are sisters, Mrs. Thomas M. Thompson, Des Moines; and Mrs. Rose
Young, Chicago, Ill.
Mr. Novak was born in Fort Dodge and attended Corpus Christi School. As a
young man, he entered the employ of the Iowa-Illinois Gas and Electric, retiring in 1962.
He was in the U. S. Army during World War 1, serving in Germany.
