Albin R. Fiferlick, 60, a resident of Lehigh for 33 years, died at Mercy
Hospital Sunday evening following a short illness. He was admitted to the
hospital a week ago after suffering a stroke. Funeral services will be held
Wednesday morning at 8:15 at the Laufersweiler Funeral Home here and 9:00 at
Immaculate Conception Church in Lehigh. The Rev. Richard Macke will
officiate. Burial will be in West Lawn Cemetery at Lehigh. Rosary services
will be held at 8:00 Monday and Tuesday evenings at the funeral home.
A lifelong Webster County resident, Mr. Fiferlick was born at Otho and
attended schools of that area. In 1922 he was married to Miss Mary Williams
at Fort Dodge and they established their home here. Several years later they
moved to Lehigh where they have since lived. For a number of years he was
employed as a mechanic, retiring in 1953 because of ill-health.
Besides his wife he is survived by five sons and four daughters. They are
Maurice, Ottumwa; Dennis, Callender; Gerald, Charles and Stephen, all at
home; Mrs. Wayne Laird, Otho; Mrs. William Duncan, Ottumwa; Mrs. Archie
Walen, Waukee, and Mrs. Wendell Linn, Fort Dodge. Also surviving are 18
grandchildren, one great grandson, one brother, Charles, of Los Angeles,
Calif., and a sister, Mrs. James Pliner of Otho. Mr. Fiferlick was a member
of Immaculate Conception Church.
