Shannon City Alumni Banquet

 

Fifty-one alumni and guests attended the 105th Shannon City Alumni Banquet

held Saturday, May 23, 2015, at the Eagle's Club in Creston. Co-chairwomen

were Bonnie Ergenbright Baker (1959), Linda Foy James (1960) of Creston, and

Ann Comer Sanson (1959) of Clarinda. Registration started at 3:30 p.m. with a

5:00 p.m. supper. Linda James gave the welcome and Ron Sanson gave the

invocation.

 

Graduates attending were celebrating their 55th, 60th, 65th, and 70th

banquets. They were:

(1960) Linda Foy James:

(1955) Frank Swartz (Urbandale);

(1950) Dick Ide (Shannon City) and Bill Linthicum (Des Moines);

(1945) Melba Woosley Akers (Creston) and Lee Ayers (Webster City).

 

Other alumni attending were:

'42 - Agnes Marie Swanson Eklund (Afton);

'44 - Loren Gehrke (Clarksdale, MO);

'46 - Verla Swinehart Fitzgerald (Nevada) and Eloise Kilgore White (Creston);

'49 - Donna Ruckman Berdine (Creston), Alvion Clough (Ellston);

'52 - Richard Henry (Fulton, MO), Johnnie Land (Afton), Dick Ross (Creston),

'53 - Shirley Woosley Ide (Shannon City);

'57 - Eldon Harden (Creston);

and, '59 - Karolyn Ergenbright Fletcher (Creston).
