Abarr, Jerry Wendell -

Funeral services for Jerry Wendell Abarr were held Monday, April 23, at 10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Clearfield with Rev. Jerry

White officiating. Interment was at the Clearfield Cemetery with Military Graveside Rites by Woodside Post #97 of the American Legion.

Jerry Wendell Abarr, son of Ardith and Marietta Abarr was born August 12, 1938 at Blockton, IA and departed this life April 20, 2001, in Des

Moines, at the age of 62 years, 8 months and 8 days.

He graduated from the Clearfield High School in 1957 and after graduation served in the Army until 1964. While in the Army he was united in marriage

to Hazel Merrill. To this union one child, Gary Abarr, was born. Rick Abarr and Dale, Larry, Bob, Jeff and David Merrill were an important part of

Jerry's life for 15 years.

On November 2, 1974 Jerry was united in marriage to Connie Tull Stanley. Three children were brought into this marriage. Gary and Angle and

Scott Stanley. Jerry and Connie have shared many interests, including gardening, their horses, and antique shopping in their 27 years of marriage.

Jerry's happiest moments were when he was surrounded by his family. He was a loving husband, father, brother and friend. At the time of his death he

was mayor of Clearfield, the town that was his pride and joy.  He also served as the community's mayor in the early 1980's.

Jerry was a member of the American Legion and the Clearfield United Methodist Church. He was also a past member of the Clearfield Lion's

Club and previously associated with the Boy Scouts of America and served as an assistant scout master when stationed in Italy.

Jerry leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Connie; his son, Gary Abarr and special friend Jane of Tonganoxie, MO; step-daughter, Angie Hendron

and husband, Jeff of Eatontown, NJ; step-son Scott Stanley and wife Sheila of Vidalia, GA; eight grandchildren; Tyan and Taylan Abarr of Clearfield,

Samantha and Claire Hendron of Eatontown, NJ and Jessie, Jodi, Marshall and Matthew Stanley of Vidalia, GA.

He is survived by 3 sisters: Phyllis Wood and husband Paul of Dallas, OR, Joan Freemyer and husband Wesley of Clearfield, Carol Lee Fisher and

husband Ray of Clearfield; 3 brothers, Cecil Abarr and wife, Lou of Savannah, GA, Richard Abarr and wife Sumi of Colorado Springs, CO, Larry Abarr and

special friend Marilyn of Savannah, MO; his mother-in-law RoEmma Tul! of Clearfield and a host of family and friends.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, brother Robert and brother-in-law Vernon Horton and Michael Freemyer, nephew.

Anderson, Mary Helen Swan -

Mary Helen Anderson, age 88, of New Market, Iowa, died Friday, June 10, 2001, at the Westridge Care Center,

Clarinda, Iowa, where she had resided since January 1999. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, June 5,

2001, at Walker-Merrick Funeral Home, Clarinda, Iowa, with Rev. Dan Wiebesiek officiating. Visitation with the family was

June 4 at the funeral home. Burial was in Memory Cemetery, New Market.

Memorials may be directed to the New Market Methodist Church. Walker-Merrick Funeral Home is in charge of

arrangements.

Mary Anderson was born June 22, 1912, at Clearfield, Iowa, to Charles James Swan and Nellie Elizabeth (King)

Swan. Mary was a graduate of Clearfield High School and had one year of Normal Training. Mary was a country

schoolteacher for approximately 4 years.

She was united in marriage to Benjamin Anderson, June 21, 1936. He preceded her in death on January 18, 2001.

Mary was a homemaker for many years, and also worked at the New Market telephone office 4-5 years. She was a

member of the Order of Eastern Star and the New Market Methodist Church. Mary was active in many church activities

and organizations. She was a good supporter of the New Market School activities. Mary liked to crochet and was an

excellent cook.

Survivors include children Ann LaFontaine and husband Wayne of Urbandale; Charles (Ed) Anderson and wife Janice

of Gresham, Oregon; Margaret Johnson and husband Jim of Hart, Michigan, Birdice Jobs and husband Jim of New Market;

Teresa Harbacheck and husband Joe of Boise, Idaho; 15 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren; sisters Margaret Zeller

of Des Moines, Susan Manion of El Cajon, California and many nieces and nephews.

Her parents, husband Ben, sister, Lois Seibert, brothers Charles Swan and George Swan, and great-grandchild Katelyn

Anderson preceded her in death.

Brown, Delman Medford -

Funeral services for Delman Brown, age 87, of Lenox, who died Wednesday, June 6, 2001, were held Friday, June 8,

at 2 p.m. at the United Presbyterian Church in Lenox with  Rev. Tim Maxa officiating. Interment was held in the North

Fairview Cemetery. Memorials have been established in his name. Services were conducted by the Ritchie Funeral Home

of Lenox.

Delman Medford Brown was born near Ava, Mo. on Feb. 1, 1914, the son of Virgil Stanley Brown and Mary Katherine

Doran Brown. He attended school and graduated from Cromwell High School in 1933.

On Feb. 22, 1937 Delman was married to Berniece Douglas at the United Methodist Church in Maryville, Mo.

Two daughters were born to this union, Marilyn and Charlene.

Delman was a self-employed farmer and had other occupations as a milk hauler and drainage contractor. A hobby of

Delman's was piloting his own Piper Cub. He was a member of the United Presbyterian Church of Lenox.

Deiman is survived by his wife Berniece Brown of the home, two daughters, Marilyn and husband Paul Brokaw of

Lenox, and Charlene and husband Mike Heidt of Marshallville, Ga.; two sisters Thelma Brinker, Pemberville, Ohio and

Wilma Bosswell, Thayer, Mo.; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Preceding Delman in death were his parents, Virgil and Mary Brown; infant sister Lorene; three brothers, Roscoe,

Darrel, and Austin; and a son-in-law, Jack Leckliter.

Bush, Junnie Caldwell -

The memorial service for Junnie Caldwel Bush will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday February 21, 2001, in the First Presbyterian Church, Fargo.

Junnie died Sunday, February 18, 2001, in Bethany Homes in Fargo at the age of 75.

Junnie was born June 18, 1925, in Adams County, IA, the daughter of Ruby Fay and Charles Caldwell. She grew up and attended school in Lenox,

IA. (Junnie was with the class of 1944).

Junnie worked in Wichita, KS, for a company that built B-24s and during WWII in Los Angeles, for a company that built B-29s.

She married George Clifford Bush December 21, 1943, in Kansas City, MO. The couple made their home in Corning, IA and moved to Omaha,

NE in 1960. Junnie worked for the Mutual of Omaha from 1960-83. They moved to Fargo in 1997.

She is survived by her husband, George C., Fargo, 2 children, Shelley (Keith) Lesteberg, Fargo, and Richard B. (Jacqueline) Bush, Yakima, WA,

2 sisters, Maxine (Dean) Ethington, Cedar Falls, IA and Georgia Reimer, Tucson, AZ, one brother, Raymond (Ella) Caldwell, Lebanon, OR and 2

grandchildren.

Campbell, Lillian A Spurrier -

Funeral services for Lillian A. Campbell of Glenwood were held April 28 at the First Christian Church with Rev. Orville Terry officiating. Burial

was in the Clearfield Cemetery.

Peterson Mortuary of Glenwood was in charge of arrangements.

She was born in Ringgold County to Albert Richard and Jessie Emily (Busby) Spurrier on August 13, 1913. She passed away on April 24, 2001, at the

age of 87.

On June 4, 1939, Lillian married Earl Everett Campbell in Clearfield. She taught country school and was a seamstress at Glenwood State Hospital

School in later years. She was a member of the First Christian Church, Rebeka Lodge and a 50-year member of Eastern Star. She was active in

church activities and Sunday School.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother and two nephews.

Survivors include two daughters Donella (husband Lloyd) Parker of Papillion, Neb., and Emily ( husband Jim) Frady of Sioux City, Iowa; four

grandchildren, Debbie Davis, Randy Parer (wife Clara), Diana (husband Don) DeWolfe, and Kimberly Frady; two step greatgrandchildren,

Cindy (husband Brian) Mandziara and Kris (husband Larry) Larimore; six great-grandchildren, Dawn L. Davis, Shanon Spracklin, Katie

Davis, Jessica Davis, Dalton Parker, and Levi Parker; one great-great grandchild, ReAnna Spracklin; five step great-great grandchildren,

Cheyenne, Kayla, Serenity, Samuel, and Ashley; two sisters-in-law, Fern Spurrier of Clearfield and Dorothy Campbell of Fremont, Neb., and

several nieces and nephews.

Eberle, Georgia K -

Georgia K. Eberle, age 92, of Lenox, passed away May 28, 2001, at the Lenox Care Center.

She was born Dec. 4, 1908, in Lenox to Christian and Kate Marie (Wurster) Eberle. She was valedictorian of her Lenox High class in 1925.

Georgia lived in the St. Joseph, Mo. area where she worked as a maid and cook. She returned to the Lenox area to own the Lenox Hotel

and White Way Cafe until her retirement in the 1980's.

She was a member of the Lenox Presbyterian Church and Saturday Afternoon Coffee Club.

Survivors include a sister Wilma Gosch of Wall Lake; cousins Letha Wurster, Martha Hamilton, and Freda Davis, all of Lenox, and Bob (wife Dorothy)

Basler of McAllen, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Leah McIntire and Regina Weber; twin brothers Kenneth and Carl Eberle and brother Frank Eberle.

Services will be held at date to be announced. Memorials can be directed to the Lenox Presbyterian Church and Lenox Ambulance Service.

Eberle, Georgia K -

Memorial services for Georgia K. Eberle have been scheduled for Thursday, June 14, 1:30 p.m. at the Lenox Presbyterian Church.

A lunch and fellowship will follow the service.

Georgia K. Eberle was born Dec. 4, 1908 on the home farm at the west edge of Lenox, the daughter of Christian F. Eberle and Kate

Marie Wurster. She passed away May 28, 2001 at the age of 92 years, five months and 28 days. Her family included Leah Eberle

McIntyre, twin brothers Carl and Kenny, sister Regene Weber and Frank, who died in World War II. She is survived by a sister

Wilma Gosch of Wall Lake.

Georgia graduated salutatorian of her class at Lenox High School. She took a business course and worked for Farmers

Mutual. Later her, Leah and cousin Pearle Eberle went to St. Joseph, Mo. to work. They soon returned to Lenox, and she

married Virgil Weber August 4, 1929. They were married approximately 7 years.

She worked for Cashman Cafe, later purchasing it with a partner, calling it The White Way Cafe (1940). She purchased

the Lenox Hotel in 1952, and in 1953 she moved the White Way Cafe to the basement of the hotel. The cafe closed in

1984, and the hotel sold in 1990. She then made her home with  Leah until entering the Lenox Care Center. She made her own

cookbook, published in 1984.

Georgia was always a very good cook and a hard worker. She loved people and was always helping someone. She spent

almost 11 years in the Care Center before passing away May 28.

Fehring, Helen S Klocke -

Mass of Christian Burial for Helen Fehring, age 85, who died June 17, 2001, were held on June 20, 2001, at 11:00 a.m. at

St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Lenox with Father Dan Siepker officiating. Interment was held at the North Fairview

Cemetery in Lenox. Memorials can be given in Helen's name. Services were conducted by the Ritchie Funeral Home of Lenox.

Helen S. Fehring was born Oct. 11, 1915, in rural Carroll, Iowa, the daughter of John Joseph Klocke and Elizabeth Mattes.

She grew up in the Carroll area attending parochial schools in Roselle graduating from St. Angela Academy in Carroll in 1935.

Later she attended Business College in Des Moines. She went to work in Mount Ayr and later for a bank in Omaha. During this

time she met Norbert at a wedding dance. You see Norbert had another date that he took home early, returning to the

dance to be with Helen! On June 21. 1943, Norbert and Helen were united in marriage in Roselle, Iowa. To this loving union

four sons were born: Jerry, Jack, Matt, and Pat.

Norbert and Helen returned to the Carroll area for a few years and later moved to Pocahontas County where they farmed

and ran a custom corn sheller. In 1967 they moved to Lenox where Norbert worked as a District Sales Manager for ACCO

Seed Corn Company. In 1972 they moved to Lake View, and Norbert worked for the Quinn Popcorn Company. In 1996 the

couple returned to Lenox to be closer to family and friends.

Helen enjoyed taking care of her family and being involved in their many activities. She was a member of the St. Patrick's

Catholic Church, the Lake View Garden Club, and Sewing Club.

Helen is survived by her three sons: Jerry Fehring and wife Kristee of Kenncar. Wyo.; Jack Fehring and wife Paula of Lenox;

and Pat Fehring and wife Marcia of Red Oak; a sister Mary Klocke of Carroll; and eight grandchildren.

Preceding Helen in death were her husband Norbert in 1999; a son Matt in 1982, parents John and Elizabeth; a brother

Edward Klocke and sister Lucy Kitt.

Marcum, William A -

William A. Marcum, 50, of Clearfield died May 1, 2001, at the Ringgold County Hospital in Mount Ayr.

He was cremated with private burial in the Clearfield Cemetery, The Wilson-Watson and Armstrong Funeral Home in Clearfield

had charge of arrangements.

He was born June 13, 1950, in Des Moines, Iowa to Glenn A. and Mary Ann (Tammburo) Marcum. He graduated from

Lincoln High School in Des Moines in 1968. On June 13, 1980, he married Robin L. Dawson in Des Moines. He worked at Kraft

(Trolli, Inc.) in Creston. He lived in Des Moines prior to moving to Clearfield 5 years ago.

Survivors include his wife,  Robin Marcum of Clearfield; two daughters, Jeana (husband Juan) Cruz and Cassie Marcum, both of

Clearfield; two brothers, Ernest Marcum of Des Moines, and Robert Marcum of Prairie City; a sister-in-law, Roxanne,

(husband Kenneth) Werner of Clearfield and one grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Glenn Marcum.

Paul, Donna Jean Woolley -

Donna Jean Paul, the daughter of Delbert and Mildred Burnotte Woolley, was born April 4, 1933 at Leon, Iowa. She died on Saturday,

April 21, 2001, at Immanuel Medical Center in Omaha, Neb. at the age of 68 years and 17 days.

She was raised in Lenox, and graduated from Lenox High School. She moved to Red Oak in 1952 and started to raise her family.

In 1966 she moved into Stanton and then Donna moved to the farm with Darwin Boyer in 1984. She had worked for Pamida Discount

Store in Red Oak from 1979 to 1989, and then for Communications Data Services in Red Oak for seven years, from which she retired.

She was a member of Mamrelund Lutheran Church in Stanton. She loved to read, spend time with her grandchildren and enjoyed plants

and flowers. Her father preceded her in death.

Donna is survived by seven children: Jerry Paul and his wife Deb of Denver, Colo., Dave Paul and his wife Mindy of Maple Grove, Minn.,

Dick Paul and his wife Marilyn of Red Oak, Darren Paul and his wife Annette of Red Oak, Dirk Paul of Stanton, Delaine Paul of Phoenix, and

Dara Schaffer and her husband Mike of Woodbury, Minn.; nine grandchildren; Laura and Michael Paul, Travis, Steven and Brian Paul,

Susan and Jason Paul, Jacob and Zane Schaffer; her mother, Mildred Woolley of Lenox,; two sisters, Wanda Wurster and her husband Ron of

Lenox, and Susie Brokaw and her husband Frank of South Bend, Ind.; a brother, Fred Woolley, and his wife Linda of Lenox; a special

companion of 16 years, Darwin Boyer of Villisca; nieces, nephews and other relatives along with a host of friends.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 25, 2001, at 10 a.m. at the Mamrelund Lutheran Church in Stanton with burial at a later

date in Mamre Cemetery. The Rev. Dr. Eric Kutzli officiated. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Sellergren-Lindell-DeMarce Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Pierce, Rex Rolland -

Funeral services for Rex Pierce, age 81, of Lenox, who died Friday, June 15, 2001. were held Wednesday. June 20, 2001, at

10:30 a.m. at the Ritchie Funeral Home in Lenox with Pastor Don Frizzell officiating. Interment was held in the Carl Cemetery

north of Prescott with military rites accorded by Parkinson Post No. 250 of The American Legion. Memorials can be given in

Rex's name. Services were conducted by the Ritchie Funeral Home of Lenox.

Rex Rolland Pierce was born August 8, 1919, the son of Russell Harrison Pierce and Iowa Lurinda Badger Pierce. Rex

grew up attending school in the Nashua area graduating in 1938. In 1941 he entered the United States Army, where he was

wounded on Attu in the Aleutian Islands. He was united in marriage in 1943 to Jeanne Homan in Pacific Grove, California.

After their marriage he returned to the South Pacific where he was wounded in action a second time while in Okinawa, Japan.

Upon his discharge from the Army, he returned to the Nashua area to work for his father driving a feed truck and also working

at a service station.

The family moved to Lenox in 1951, and Rex went to work for Cain Oil Company, Carruthers Plumbing & Heating, and the

Eclipse Lumberyard. In the mid 1960's Rex went to work for the Hoover Ball & Bearing Company, which later became Tote

Systems. He retired in 1984 continuing to keep busy by landscaping and yard mowing until his death.

Rex enjoyed the outdoors camping, hunting and fishing when time allowed. He had been active with Meals on Wheels for

many years. Rex was a member of the Tremont Masonic Lodge No. 343 in Lenox and Parkinson Post No. 250 of The American

Legion in Lenox.

Rex is survived by his wife Jeanne of Winterset; three children, Alan Pierce and wife Echo of Lenox; Deborah Linman

and husband Robert of Hilton Head Island, S.C.; and Jeffrey Rex Pierce and wife Sherrie of Des Moines; a sister Ruby

McIntire of Salem, Oregon; three grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.

Preceding Rex in death are his parents Russell and Iowa and a brother Russell Pierce.

Schrader, Alma Bissell -

Funeral services for Alma Schrader, age 94, of Lenox, who died Wednesday, June 6, 2001 were held Saturday, June

9, 2001 at 10:30 a.m. at the Ritchie Funeral Home in Lenox with Reverent Frizzell and Reverent Tim Maxa officiating.

Interment of ashes were held at the North Fairview Cemetery in Lenox. Memorials can be directed to the Lenox

Ambulance Service. Services were conducted by the Ritchie Funeral  Home of Lenox.

Alma Bissell Schrader was born in Mutual, Oklahoma on November 12, 1906, the daughter of Alva Bissell and Pearl

Morgan Bissell. Alma lived in Oklahoma from birth until 1915 when the family moved to Cass County, Iowa. She attended

the Rural School of Cass County.

On June 9, 1924 Alma was united in marriage to George Schrader in Corning, Iowa. To this union two sons were born,

Don and Larry.

Alma cooked at the Lenox Sale Barn for 20 years and was also employed at several other area restaurants. When

Alma was not working you could find her cooking at her home and working in her garden. She was a member of the United

Methodist Church of Mercer Center.

Alma is survived by one son, Larry and wife Bonny Schrader of Lenox, Iowa; two sisters-in-law, Margaret Bissell

and Theda Bissell; one nephew, Kenneth and wife Mary Bissell, who was raised in the Bissell home; three sisters,

Florence James of Corning, Iowa, Ida McKee of Massena, Iowa and Cleta Paul of Corning, Iowa; eight grandchildren and

fifteen great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Preceding Alma in death are her parents, Alva and Pearl Bissell; one son, Don Schrader; husband George Schrader; two

great grandchildren, Clinton and Dallas Schrader; two sisters, Esther Castee! and Edna Scott; and five brothers, Claude

Bissell, Ansel Bissell, Huber Bissell, Ivan Bissell and Raymond Bissell.

Sheppard, Guy V -

Graveside services for Guy V. Sheppard will be held Saturday, May 26 at 2 p.m. at Bethel Cemetery. Pastor Eydie

Stephens will be officiating.

Guy and his wife Mary  (Dinkel) Sheppard, were raised and lived in the Mt Ayr and Diagonal area. Guy had lived in

California near his daughter until his death January 21 of this year.

Friends and relatives are invited.

Swan, George Walton -

George Walton Swan of Lakeside, Cal., son of Dr. and Mrs. C. J. Swan, was born in Clearfield on February 26, 1925

and departed this life on April 25 , 2001, at the age of 76.

George graduated from Clearfield High School where he was a great football player. He joined the Navy in 1942 and

served on the U.S. Alabama the aircraft carrier U.S.S. Bon Homme Richard and spent time in North Africa where he met

his brother Charles in the mess hall one day. Upon discharge in 1946 he met and married Joyce Herren of New Market and

to this union were born six children. George and Joyce were married 53 years.

He was saved when listening to a Billy Graham Crusade on the television. On December 8, 2001 he celebrated 35 years

of sobriety. He worked as a carpenter in Indianola where he developed the Country Club Hedland Addition. After moving

to California in 1969 he continued to build until he fell off a roof and crushed his heel, making it impossible to do the

heavy work anymore. He and Joyce were property managers at El Cajon Senior Towers for 8-1/2 years before starting their

travel business of tours for senior citizens.

George had a great sense of humor and loved to hunt squirrels, rabbits, and pheasants. He collected guns, was a

lifetime member of the National Rifle Association, liked to cook, and read a variety of books. He was faithful to rise early

in the day and read his Bible and have prayer time.

He was a member of Shadow Mountain Community Church in El Cajon and was just starting another 3-year term

as Deacon. He was also a member of the College Avenue Baptist Church Thursday morning Senior Center.

His mother and father, Nellie and Charles Swan, sister Louis Siebert and brother Charles preceded him in death.

He leaves to mourn his death, his wife, Joyce, children Parker Swan, of Norfolk, Virginia, Cygnet Bruckmann of El

Cajon, California, Kelly Conrad, of Spokane, Washington, Terrence of San Diego, California, Francine Simmons of

Guernsey, Wyoming, and Lydia Barrett of Spring Valley, California, 24 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, three

sisters, Margaret Zeller of Des Moines, Iowa, Mary Anderson, of Clarinda, Iowa, Susan Manion of El Cajon, California,

nieces and nephews, and friends. George prayed faithfully for his family to be faithful to God and for salvation for those not

saved. A beautiful Memorial service was held at Shadow Mountain Community Church.

Webb, Donald Arthur -

Donald Arthur Webb, 78 of Clearfield, formerly of Creston, died May 1, 2001, at Greater Community Hospital.

Graveside services were held Saturday, May 5, at Graceland Cemetery. The Rev. Merlin Wilkins officiated. A memorial

has been established in his name.

Mr. Webb was born July 11, 1922, in Creston to Gerald and Laura (Bickford) Webb. He graduated from Creston High

School in 1940. On December 27, 1942, he married Betty May Manroe in Maryville, Missouri.

He worked for the Burlington-Northern Railroad for 35 years as a section hand. He retired in March 1976. He was a lifelong

resident of Creston until moving to the Clearview Home in Clearfield. He was a World War II veteran, serving in the U.S.

Navy in 1945.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Webb of Clearfield; two daughters, Diana Greenwalt of Creston and Debbie (husband

Steve) Hansen of Valentine, Nebraska; two sons, Don (wife Beverly) Webb Jr. and Ronnie (wife Sandra) Webb, both of

Creston; a sister, Doris Blair of Louisville, Ky.; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

White, Edna Gertrude Baker -

Edna Gertrude (Baker) White was born in Blunt, South Dakota, on October 25, 1910, the daughter of Edward and Lena Jackson

Baker. After moving to Clearfield, Iowa, Edna graduated from Clearfield High School in 1929. She took college classes

through correspondence and attended American Business College in Omaha, Nebraska. Edna worked in various locations

as a bookkeeper.

On April 6, 1935 she married Lawson White, and they resided in Omaha, Nebraska and San Antonio, Texas. She was

employed at the Rio Grande Children's Home Mission, Texas for 13 years. After Mr. White's death, she lived in McAllen, Texas

and later in Deland, Florida where Edna and her sister Ella Mae Baker could be together.

In August of 1999 both sisters moved to the Lenox Care Center in Lenox, Iowa where Edna passed away on May 1, 2001

at the age of 90 years, six months, and six days.

Edna was affiliated with the Alliance Chapel in Deland, Florida. She was a devout Christian, reading the Bible faithfully and

listening to the radio to hear religious services. Among her favorite hymns were "How Great Thou Art", "A Mighty

Fortress Is Our God", and "How Firm a Foundation". Edna enjoyed working with her hands.

Edna was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, sisters Edith Plybon of Red Bluff, California, Ella Mae Baker of the

Lenox Care Center, Lenox, Iowa, Veva Goochcr of Dauphin Island, AL, and brother Glenn Baker of Shreveport, LA. She is

survived by a brother J.J. Baker of Dauphin Island, Alabama, and a sister Rhoda Johnston of Diagonal, Iowa plus several

nieces and nephews.

Edna sponsored three young people in the Food for the Hungry program. "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder".
