Boulden, Florence Rebecca Long -

Mrs. William (Florence) Boulden, 79, died at the Rosary hospital in Corning Wednesday, Feb. 11th.

Mrs. Boulden was born at Modale, Iowa March 2, 1896. She married William Boulden Sept. 24, 1919 at Missouri Valley, Iowa. He preceded her in death June 2, 1970.

She is survived by a son, Dr. Roger W. Boulden of this city, three grandsons, Robert, William and Richard, 1 great granddaughter, three sisters, Deva (Mrs. Edward) Gregerson

of Chico, Calif., Mrs. Ruby Cushing of San Francisco, Calif., and. Mrs. Pearl Briggs of Omaha, Nebr. Also one brother, Donald Long of San Francisco, Calif., and nieces

and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, four brothers and one sister.

Mrs. Boulden was a member of the Lenox Eastern Star.

She spent most of her life in Missouri Valley, Iowa, and moved to Lenox in 1960. This has been her home since that time.

Services will be held Saturday morning, Feb. 14th at 11:00 a.m. at the Larkin-Bender Funeral Home in Lenox with Rev. Bill Watson officiating.

Burial will be in West Fairview cemetery, Lenox.

A memorial has been established for the American Diabetic Association.

Boulden, Florence Rebecca Long -

Florence Rebecca Boulden was born on March 2, 1896 near Modale, Iowa, and passed away on Feb. 11, 1976 at the Rosary hospital in Corning, Iowa. Her parents were Charles

Long and Emma Anderson Long who engaged in farming near Modale, Iowa. Mrs. Boulden was one of ten children to this marriage, five girls and five boys. In her early

teenage life, her mother was killed in an auto accident which left her the responsibility of rearing and caring for her younger brothers and sisters.

She later moved to Missouri Valley and worked as a telephone operator.

She was united in marriage to William T. Boulden of Missouri Valley on Sept. 24, 1919. They resided in Missouri Valley most of their lives until 1960 when they retired and

moved to Lenox, Iowa. Her husband preceded her in death on June 2, 1970. To this marriage one son, Dr. Roger W. Boulden, was born.

Mrs. Boulden leaves as survivors three sisters, Mrs. Pearl Briggs of Omaha, Nebr., Mrs. Edward (Deva) Gregerson of Chico, Calif., and Mrs. Ruby Cushing of San Francisco,

Calif., and one brother, Donald Long of San Francisco. She is also survived by her son, Dr. Roger W. Boulden and his wife Betty; three grandsons, Dr. William R. Boulden and wife Diane of Omaha, Robert T. Boulden of Council Bluffs, and Richard D. Boulden and his wife Janice of Lenox. She also leaves a granddaughter, Halley Rebecca Boulden of Lenox. There

are numerous other nieces and nephews as survivors.

Mrs. Boulden was a lifelong member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Funeral services were, held at 11 :00 a.m. Saturday morning from the Larkin-Bender Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Watson, pastor of the United Presbyterian Church officiating.

Music was furnished by Norma Paymal.

Casket bearers were William Boulden, Richard Boulden, Robert Hammang, Kenneth Riley, Elmer Bose and Don Thomson. Honorary bearers were Robert Boulden and Paul

Hand.

Interment was in West Fairview cemetery.

Brown, Byron Jennings -

Byron Brown, 79, died at 9:15 p.m. Tuesday night at the Rosary hospital in Corning where he had been a patient several weeks. Death was attributed to cancer.

Mr Brown was a long-time Lenox businessman and was born in Nebraska Nov. 1, 1896. He was the son of Elias and Mary Miller Brown. He was married to Eva Shelman Sept,

5th, 1920 at Sheridan, Mo.

Survivors include his widow, Eva; and 5 children, Virgil Brown, Veda Miller and Charles Brown all of Lenox, Marcella Briner of Diagonal and Annabelle Jones, Des Moines,

two brothers, Clifton of Belton,  Mo., and Leland of St. Joseph, Mo., and one sister, Vera Kugelman of California. A host of nieces, nephews and grandchildren also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 daughter, 3 grandsons and a brother.

Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. from the Larkin-Bender Funeral Home in Lenox with Rev. Donald Briley officiating.

Military rites will be held.

Friends are advised of a memorial to the cancer fund.

The family will hold a visitation hour Friday evening from 7 to 8:30 at the Funeral Home.

Interment will be in East Fairview cemetery at Lenox.

Brown, Byron Jennings -

Final rites were conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon, Dec. 13th from the Larkln-Bender Funeral Home in Lenox for Byron Jennings Brown, who died December

9th at the Rosary hospital in Corning,

Byron Jennings Brown, son of Elias and Mary Miller Brown was born on Nov. 1st, 1896 in Nebraska and departed this life at the age of 79 years, 1 month and 8 days.

On September 5, 1920, he was married to Eva Shelman at Sheridan, Missouri. To this union six children were born. He and his family moved to Lenox, Iowa, Dec. 1, 1923;

where he began in business and continued though the years. He is a life member of the American Legion and was an honorary Senior Citizen.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Lorraine Holmes, three grandsons  and a brother, Cecil Brown.

He is survived by his wife, Eva and five children: Virgil and wife Joyce of Lenox; Veda Miller and husband Marvin of Lenox; Charles and wife Pearl of Lenox, Marcela Briner and

husband Richard of Diagonal; Annabelle Jones and husband, Robert of Des Moines, Iowa; two brothers, Clifton Brown of Belton, Mo., and Leland Brown of Sheridan, Mo., one sister, Vera Kugelman of California, 20 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Brown, Myrtle Catherine -

A former resident of Taylor County, Myrtle Catherine Brown, 100, died Sunday at Berrien Springs, Michigan.

Mrs. Brown was born July 31, 1875 in Washington County. Iowa. She was married to Jacob F. Brown April 12, 1893 at Conway, Iowa. He preceded her in death in 1953. The family

lived in the Conway and Lenox area prior to moving to Berrien, Michigan.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2:00 at the Larkin-Bender Funeral Home in Lenox with Elder Stanley Pederson and Elder Michael Coe officiating.

Burial was in the West Fairview cemetery in Lenox.

There are no immediate family members living in this area.

Bryant, William Lewis -

William Lewis Bryant, a former resident of Lenox, Ia., suffered a stroke and passed away Nov 18, 1975 at the age of 94 years, 11 months and 6 days in Fresno, California.

He leaves to mourn his passing 2 sons, Lawrence Bryant of Sanger, Calif., Reldon Bryant of Fresno, Calif., three daughters, Mrs Ray (Goldie) Miller of Excelsior Springs, Mo., Mrs Lloyd (Sylvia) Waynick of Fresno and Mrs Ernest (Doris) Stratten of Visalia, California.

Two sons died in infancy in Lenox.

There are 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Services and burial were held in Sanger, California. 

Both he and his wife were active members of the Christian Church of Lenox before moving to California in 1935.

Carey, Mary A Andrews -

Final rites will be conducted at 10:30 this (Thursday) morning, January 22nd from the United Presbyterian Church for Mary A, Carey who died January 20th at the

Lenox Care Center. Rev. Bill Watson will officiate.

Mary A. Carey, daughter of John and Carrie Elliott Andrews, was born on November 17, 1890 in Union County, Ia. Her age at the time of death was 85. She graduated from

Lenox High school in 1910. She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church.

On December 29, 1914, she was united in marriage to Ivan Carey. To this union four children were born. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ivan; one son,

Kenneth, and one brother, Hugh Andrews.

She is survived by a son Harold (Bud) Carey of Lenox, two daughters, Mrs. Robert Smoldt of Palmdale, California and Mrs. Willard Scott of North Bend, Nebraska, nine

grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Music will be furnished by Roberta Lockhart, organist.

Bearers will be Jim and Jack Carey, Rod and Tom Scott and Wayne and Kenneth McFee.

Larkin Bender Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Burial will be in East Fairview Cemetery.

Ewart, Stella Mae Lantz -

Stella Mae Ewart, 70, died Monday night at the Rosary hospital in Corning where she had been a patient a day.

Mrs. Ewart was born May 25, 1905 at Tarkio, Mo., the daughter of Walter and Mae Swett Lantz.

Survivors include her husband, Ora, who is a resident of the Lenox Care Center, sons Bert and Eldon of Lenox, two daughters, Ardith Bowman of Clearfield and Ramona Kleckner

of LeClair, Iowa, 3 brothers and 1 sister, 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2:00 from the Larkin-Bender Funeral Home in Lenox with Rev. Floyd Newbrough, pastor of the United Methodist Church

officiating.

Burial will be in North Fairview cemetery.

Ewart, Stella Mae Lantz -

Mrs. Ora Ewart, 70, died Dec. 29, 1975 at the Rosary hospital in Corning, Iowa. She was 70 years, 7 months and 4 days of age at the time.

Stella Mae Lantz was born May 25, 1905 at Tarkio, Mo.

She joined the Blockton Methodist Church as a child and later transferred her membership to the Methodist Church in Lenox.

Stella and Ora Ewart were united in marriage on April 6, 1921 and to this union four children were born: Albert, Ardith, Ramona and Eldon.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Mae Lantz and an infant sister, Goldie.

She is survived by her husband, Ora Ewart of Lenox; her children: Albert Ewart of Lenox, Mrs. Charles (Ardith) Bowman of Clearfield, Iowa; Mrs. Ramona Kleckner of LeClair, Iowa and Eldon Ewart of Lenox, eight grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Louise (Elsie) Myers of Hopkins, Mo., and three brothers, Raymond Lantz of Piedmont, So. Dakota: Vernon Lantz of Redding; Gaylord Lantz of San Mateo, California, and many nieces and nephews.

Services were held Thursday afternoon. Jan. 1. 1976, at the Larkin-Bender Funeral Home at 2:00 o'clock with Rev. Floyd Newbrough officiating.

Music was furnished by Norma Paymal, organist, and Marilyn Beck and Billie Jean Barker, vocalists.

Bearers were Reldon Beadel, Rex Pierce, Larry Bradley, John Borland. Mervin Shawler and Bert Shawler.

Burial was in North Fairview cemetery.

Gray, Perry Ivan -

Perry Gray, 80, died at the Rosary Hospital in Corning December 11th, where he had been a patient for several days.

Perry Ivan Gray, son William and Mary Snodgrass Gray, was born Feb. 24, 1895 and died at the age 80 years, l0 month and 7 days. He spent his boyhood days on the farm where

he was born four miles north of Lenox, and attended the nearby country school. He graduated from Lenox High school in 1915. Except for 3 years in Lorimer he lived his entire life in the Lenox area.

He was united in marriage on August 29, 1917 at Creston, Iowa to Bernice Larimer. To this union were born seven sons. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Bernice, and one son, James, two brothers, Elmer and Finn and one sister, Myrtle Hanna. He leaves to mourn his passing his sons and wives: Billy and wife Lucille of Des Moines, Richard and wife Wilma of Lenox, Robert and wife Maxine of Soap Lake, Washington; Charles of Lenox, John and wife Judy, of Bodurant; and Thomas and wife Kay of Highland, Calif.; 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren, one brother Jess of Ellendale, North Dakota, and one sister Zetta Hawthorne of Atlantic, and a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon, Dec. 15th at 2:00 p.m. from the Larkin-Bender Funeral Home with Rev. Floyd Newbrough officiating.

Music was furnished by Norma Paymal, organist.

Bearers were Jim Gray, Jeff Gray, Clifford Hawthorne, Cleo Hawthorne, Bob Callahan and Don Drennan.

Military rites were given.

Burial was in East Fairview cemetery.

Jones, Bernice Sanders -

Mrs. J. Morgan Jones, a former resident of Lenox, passed away Saturday, Dec. 27th at Holleywood, Florida.

Bernice Sanders, daughter of McClellah and Isabelle Sanders, was born April 21st, 1896 at Kent, Iowa. She moved to Lenox with her family in 1902. A graduate of Lenox

high school she taught school near Sharpsburg before going to business school in Chillicothe, Mo. She had resided in St. Joseph and Kansas City, Mo. before moving to Miami,

Florida, where she had lived for a number of years.

After the death of her husband Nov. 8, 1963, she moved to Holleywood, Florida, where she spent the remainder of her life.

She is survived by a niece, Mrs. Glenn (Maxine) Henderson of Lenox, five nephews, Karl Wurster of Sac City, Dale Sanders of Bedford, Mack Sanders of Blockton, Bill Sanders

of Waukee and Lyle Campbell of Colorado Springs, Colorado. One sister-in-law of Georgia and several cousins also survive.

A brief memorial service was held Tuesday, Dec. 30th at Van Orsdel Mortuary in N. Miami. Funeral services were held at Waynesboro, Ga. on Friday, Jan. 2, 1976. Burial

was in Bethel cemetery near Alexander, Georgia.

Karl and Jean Wurster of Sac City and Lyle Campbell of Colorado Springs attended services in Georgia.

Ritchey, Dora May Bowers -

Dora May Ritchey passed away January 22, 1976 at the age of 95 years, 8 months and 7 days.

Dora May Bowers was born May 15, 1880 near Core, West Virginia, the oldest child of Sarah Adaline and Eli L. Bowers. She grew to womanhood on the old homestead in West

Virginia. Believing that the west offered better opportunities to the farmer, they decided in 1899 to move to Bedford, Ia. A year later Dora and her younger brother, Willie, moved

with their parents to the farm in Marshall Twp.

On July 4, 1904, at Gravity, Iowa, she was united in marriage to William 0. Ritchey. For many years they made their residence in York, Nebraska, but later moved back

to the farm in Iowa.

In 1948 they sold the farm and moved to Lenox to retire. On July 4, 1954 they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary and lived to enjoy 62 years together.

Dora was a member of the Lenox Methodist Church.

She enjoyed playing the piano in her youth and she and her husband enjoyed caring for a beautiful flower garden at their home on Temple St. in Lenox as long as they were

able.

The past 8 years, she was tenderly cared for at the Colonial Manors Nursing Home in Corning.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Benjamin at the age of three, her brother William Oliver in 1929 and her sister-in-law, Ruth Bowers Carlson in 1953. Her

husband, William 0. Ritchey, died on Sept. 13, 1966.

There were no children to bless this marriage.

She is survived by three nieces, Mary Lou Harkins of Adair, Iowa; Sarah Jane Huggins of Marlin, Texas, and Joan Lawson of Conway. Also by one nephew, Floyd Bowers

of Uricksville, Ohio, and many nieces and nephews by marriage.

She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Services were held Sunday, Jan. 25 at 3 o'clock from the Larkin-Bender Funeral Home. Rey. Floyd Newbrough officiated.

Music was furnished by Joyce Brown, organist; Helen Brokaw and Billie Jean Barker, vocalists.

Bearers were Harold Lawson, Robert Harkins, Stuart Lawson, Dale Kopp, Pat Swain and Ralph Zabel.

Burial was in Washington cemetery at Gravity, la.

Sanders, Elmetta Mae McAuley -

Funeral services for Mrs Charles (Elmetta Mae) Sanders, 91, of Sharpsburg, were held Dec 10th at Shum-Novinger Funeral Home in Bedford with Ward Campbell and Ross Keyt officiating.  She died Dec. 8, 1975 in Rosary Hospital, Corning, Iowa.  Interment was at Fairview cemetery.

Mae Sanders, daughter of Hugh McAuley and Mary Parry McAuley, was born at Kent, Iowa on June 8, 1884.

She lived in Kent and grew to maturity there where she attended school and the Christian Church.

On February 21, 1906 she united in marriage to Charles Sanders at Kent and they lived near Brofield, Mo. She and her husband were engaged in farming all their married

life. After the death of her husband, Charles, in November, 1949, she moved to Sharpsburg where she has made her home for the past 26 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles, her parents, one sister and five brothers.

Left to cherish her memory are her sister, Grace McCollaugh and husband, Sharpsburg, Iowa; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

She attended the Presbyterian Church at Sharpsburg as long as health permitted.

She was a kind and considerate sister, aunt and friend and will sadly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Pallbearers were Leonard Knott, Duane Beck, Dean Posten, Travis Boltinghouse, Robert Basler and Paul Chatty.

Stoaks, Leo (Eugene) -

Leo (Gene) Stoaks of 305 W Temple, died at Veterans Hospital in Omaha, Nebr. at 5:30 a.m. Monday evening Dec 15th.  He was 49 years of age.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Methodist Church in Lenox.

Burial will be in East Fairview cemetery.

Stoaks, Leo (Eugene) -

Final rites were held Dec. 18th for Gene Steaks, oldest son of Raymond and the late Glenna Haas Stoaks. Services were held at the Methodist Church in Lenox with Rev.

Floyd Newbrough, pastor, officiating.

Mr. Stoaks was born Oct. 4, 1926 near Lenox and passed away Dec. 15th, 1976 at the Veterans hospital in Omaha after a lengthy illness at the age of 49 years, 2 months and

11 days.

He attended school in Lenox and Ames, and entered the service Jan. 23, 1945 and served overseas in the Philippine Islands until Nov. 3, 1946.

He was married to Seraphia Cullen Nov. 9, 1943. To this union three daughters were born: Karen, Patricia and Vickie.

He worked at the Creston Mfg; Co. for a number of years until his health forced him to retire. Even though his illness was long and suffering at times, he remained patient and

tried not to burden any one with his troubles.

Besides his widow, Seraphia and children, Karen and husband Hal Minnick of Mediapolis, Iowa, Patricia of San Jose, Calif., and Vickie and husband Lary Christensen of Lenox to mourn his loss, and also two grandchildren, Kayla and Kory Minnick, his father Raymond Stoaks, of Ames, 3 sisters, Phyllis of Collins, Ia., Helen of San Jose, California;

Marge of Strausberry, Pa., three brothers, Harlan of Santa Monica, Calif., Larry in Longmont, Calif, and Max of Colfax, Iowa, besides a host of relatives and friends.

He was a member of the United Methodist Church, VFW, and American Legion.  He was preceded in death by his mother in 1944.

Casket bearers were Kenneth Black, Jack Refer, John Borland, Marvin Miller, Roy Bennett and George Reynolds.

Military rites were held.

Burial was in East Fairview cemetery.

Swanson, Eldon Andrew -

Eldon Andrew Swanson, 70, of 403 West Summitt, Creston, died Feb. 3, 1976 at Greater Community Hospital in that city.

Mr. Swanson was born July 18, 1905 in Colntarf, Minnesota and was a retired farmer.

He married Maiscel Hance Dec. 25, 1927 at Stanton and they operated a farm in the Lenox area, moving here in 1928. After his retirement in 1947, they moved to Stanton,

Iowa in 1950. He was a member of the Mamurland church.

Survivors include his wife, a brother Casper Swanson of Red Oak, two sisters, Mrs. Henry Hersindahl of Mason City, Iowa and Mrs. Albert Johnson of Phoenix, Arizona.

Two nephews, and a host of friends also survive.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Larkin-Bender Funeral Home in Lenox with Rev. Don Briley officiating.

The body will lie in state at the Larkin Family Funeral Home in Creston until that time with a visitation set for Friday evening from 7:30 to 8:30.

Interment will be in East Fairview cemetery in Lenox.

Thompson, Mary Barbara Schaffar -

Mary Barbara Thompson, a former Lenox resident, died Friday, Nov. 28 at Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Mary Barbara, daughter of Frederick and Barbara Eberle Schaffer, was born in Adams County, Iowa, June 8, 1884, and died at the age of 91 years, 5 months and 20 days.

She was united in marriage to Frank A. Thompson of Lenox on March 31, 1915, at the home of her father near Corning, Iowa. They lived in Lenox, Creston and Red Oak,

Iowa. Mr. Thompson died December 1, 1928, after a lengthy illness. She was a member of the Lenox Presbyterian Church.

To this union were born two children: Burton W. of Ogden, Utah, and Donovan P., of Colorado Springs, Colo.

After. Mr. Thompson's death, she and her family returned to Lenox until 1949 when she moved to Atlantic, Iowa, In 1957 she moved to Colorado Springs and for the

past 4 and one-half years she had resided at Pike's Peak Manor in Colorado Springs.

Mrs. Thompson was preceded in death by her husband and parents, and two sisters, Mrs. Lena Follis and Mrs. Elizabeth Schaffer.

She leaves to mourn her son, Burotn W and wife, Lucetta, of Ogden Utah; son Don F. and wife, Eunice, of Colorado Springs; six grandchildren, Gary W. Thompson,

Nancy (Mrs. Richard McPhie); Lynn Marie, (Mrs. Jeffrey Kirkbride); all of Ogden, Utah; Bill Thompson, Joyce,  (Mrs. Charles Watt) and Cheryl Thompson all of Colorado

Springs. Also two great grandchildren, Weston McPhie and Melissa Kirkbride, both of Ogden, Utah; three brothers, Paul Schaffer and Harry Schaffer of Prescott, Ia.  and Albert Schaffer of Creston, Iowa; two sisters, Mrs. Lillian Hanson of Des Moines and Mrs. Carolyn Haynes of Griswold, Iowa, beside many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services were held Monday, Dec. 1 at 2:30 from the Larkin-Bender Funeral Home in Lenox with Rev. W. H. Sinning officiating.

Music was furnished by Ruth Boltinghouse, organist.

Bearers were Max DeVore, Harry Fehrle, Donald Hutchison, Dean Schaffer, Carroll Haynes and Richard Haynes.

Interment was in East Fairview cemetery.

Walter, Dorothy Ilene Wynn -

Mrs. Dorothy Walter passed away at her home in Lenox, about 8:00 a. m. Saturday, Jan. 3, 1976, after many years of illness.

Dorothy Ilene Walter was born north of Prescott, Iowa, on October 16, 1903 and passed away at the age of 72 years, 2 months, and 18 days.

She was the daughter of Edna and Sherman Wynn and lived in Chanute, Kansas, as a small girl and returned to Iowa while in the sixth grade, graduating from the Lenox

High School in 1923. She taught in the rural schools for four years.

On May 8, 1926, she was married, to Orval C. Walter in Winterset and they made their home in the Lenox area from then on. They were blessed with two children: Richard L.

of Lenox and Mary Joan Hall of Spirit Lake, Iowa.

She was a member of the First Christian Church all of her life, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Past Matrons, a charter member of the Lenox H. S.

club and of the Legislative Ladies League of Iowa.

She is survived by her husband, Orval C. Walter; one son, Richard L. and wife Mildred of Lenox; one daughter, Mary Joan Hall and husband Philip of Spirit Lake, Iowa;

nine grandchildren, Susan Yates and husband Gilbert of Bellevue, Nebr.; Jeanne Masters and husband Jerry of Pickering, Mo., Janis, David, Mark and Johnny Walter of

Lenox; Philip Jr., Stephan & Chuck Hall of Spirit Lake, and one great grandchild, Chad Masters; two sisters, Mrs. Dow (Inez) Keever of Corning and Mrs. Kenneth (Juanita) Harper

of San Jose, Calif.; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Louise Wynn of Lenox and Mrs. Hazel Wynn of Red Oak and many, many beloved nieces, and nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Harold (Percy) and Jesse Wynn.

Until later years she was active in her church and other organizations. She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother, giving and receiving much love.

Funeral services were held at the Lenox First Christian Church Monday, January 5th at 2:00 p.m., with Rev. Donald Briley officiating.

Music was furnished by Ruth Boltinghouse, organist and Mildred Walter, vocalist.

Casket bearers were Paul Davis, Ralph Rogers, Eldon Bose. Jim Rice, Keith Carlson and Vern Webb.

Honorary bearers were Don Tyler, Francis Folcey, Glen Leckliter, Fred Strunce, Mike Pottinger and Howard Riley.

Interment was in West Fairview cemetery.

Wurster,Willie George -

Willie Wurster, 81, a lifelong resident of the Lenox area, died at 12:30 a.m. Wednesday morning at the Rosary hospital in Corning.

Mr. Wurster was born Jan. 18, 1895 near Lenox.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth, son Leland and a brother, Sam. He was preceded in death by 3 sisters and one brother.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 Friday afternoon from the Larkin-Bender Funeral Home with Rev. Floyd Newbrough officiating.

Burial will be in West Fairview cemetery.

Wurster, Willie George -

Funeral services were held Friday, January 23rd at 2:00 o'clock from the Larkin-Bender Funeral Home for Willie Wurster, long-time resident of the Lenox area, who died

Jan. 21st.

Willie George Wurster, son of Christian and Katherine Wurster, was born Jan. 18, 1895 on a farm two miles west of Lenox on the Clifford Wurster farm. He was married to

Ruth Cade on Sept. 10, 1924, To this union one son, Leland was born. He spent his entire life as a farmer.

He accepted Christ as his saviour when a young man and was a member of the Lenox United Methodist Church.

His father and mother, brother John, sisters Mrs. Pauline Froemel, Mrs. Annie Milliken and Miss Clara Wurster have preceded him in death.

His wife and son, brother Sam, nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends mourn his death.

Rev. Floyd Newbrough, pastor of the Methodist Church officiated at the service.

Music was furnished by Norma Paymal, organist.

Bearers were Clyde Belding, Melvin Williams, Vernie Crisp, George Reynolds, John Cade and Dick Brammer.

Burial was in West Fairview cemetery.
