years, 7 months
and 4 days.

years of age her parents moved to a farm near Cromwell, Iowa where she resided
until Dec. 23, 1880, when she was married to James E.
Stephens who preceded her in death in 1899. After residing on a farm near

in his mercy relieved her suffering by sailing her home Monday evening. Three
of her children were present and able to minister
to her needs
at this time.

unusually active in church work, she was a devoted reader of the Bible until
failing eyesight prevented. Her race is run, her work is done and who will say,
"not well done,"
The lovely
life-story of Mary Mullin Stephens affords as active exemplification of the
"worthy woman" described in the thirty-first chapter of the book of
Proverbs. "Her children rise up and call her blessed and her husband also and he praises
her."
